- Description
- Texarkana Ark Feb 13th 45. Mr Amon Carter Ft Worth Tex. Dear Sir. My son Lt Frank M Vinson Jr is a prisoner in Germany camp Oflag 64. And he writes me that your son is also a prisoner there. Frank has mentioned your son several times, and has asked me to get in touch with you, hinting that perhaps you could give me some informaton that he could not write He writes that you could advise me better than anyone just what to send him in the Boxes. In a letter recieved to day he writes to not send clothing. It seems that food is the main thing he wants. When he went over he weighed 180 lbs He now only weighs 136 lbs. If you have any inside information that will be of any help or consolation to me I will appreciate very much a letter from you. Franks wife is Hazel Vinson 1110 Fair Oaks Houston Tex Yours very truly F. M. Vinson 1003 Grand Ave
