Description
Dublin, Texas 9.11-44 Dear Mr, Carter, Rec'd your letters today. I've had two cards from Doyle Since I wrote you last, one dated June 25 & one July, 14th He had gotten the parcel I sent Him in Jan but hadint rec'd any tobacco, I guess it doesn’t bother Him to much for he doesnt smoke or didint up until about a year ago, I know He just wanted me to send it for the other Dear boys. He seemed to be in better spirits, He said He had a beautiful flower garden said He had a big white lone star in the center, He also had His little private garden said He had radishes carrots mustard lettuce onions said he was farely dripping with (?) I know he enjoys working with them, He was always such a flower lover, I imagine they are getting in a pretty tight spot the Russians are crowding the Germans so not so far from them or it doesnt look like from the map that they are to far from our Dear boys. Any information will be highly appreciated & thanks so much for this information. Yours truly, Mrs. A. A. Yardley.
