Description
Dublin, Tex. 1-17-45 Mr. Amon. G. Carter Dear Sir We rec'd two letters from Doyle this week they were written Oct 8th, He seemed to be in better spirits, He had gotten two parcels & several letters, I guess he was just blue in Sept He hadent rec'd any mail in so long. He's said His health was good. he said to tell you that Amon Jr was about the most popular young officer in camp said they all called him Big operator Carter. He said Amon Jr had a tamed crow named Ronnie, said it was their mascot, the Russians are getting awfully close to our boys aren't they? Wouldent it be wonderful if they could liberate them. Doyle wanted me to tell you how grand they thought Amon Jr was. Yours sincerely Mrs. A. A. Yardley
