Description
My dear Amon Carter When I arrived home the (?) vicuna robe was at the (?) where Mrs Tyler had sent it to be tanned and dried. It is so beautiful, and I feel grateful to you as I could never have gotten one. Mary, of course, wants it and Im letting her take it back east as she says it is very cold at nights in Maine and thinks she needs it very badly. You were sweet and thoughtful to bother with all this for me and I want to thank you for all the trouble and time. Now please send the bill. I told you at the time I wanted to pay for it, and you promised that I could. You always do such wonderful things for people and have given so many lovely things to Will, I don't feel right in letting you pay for this. I have forgotten what you said it would be in fact I don't believe you knew at the time. Anyway, I do want you to send the bill, and I do want you to know that it is a beauty and Mary and I are crazy about it. Someone told us you were in N.Y., but perhaps you are home now. Will is working every day at the studio. Mary & I had a grand trip, fly out & see us soon. Regards to Mrs Carter & the children Sincerely, Betty Rogers
