Description
Aug 17-35 My dear Amon: - What a tragedy the British newspapers are carrying today in the death of Will Rogers I have tought particularly of you knowing what devoted friends you were - truly the life of Will Rogers was so amiable and (?) - and his entertaining and dramatic talent so astonishing that his death eclipses the (?) of the nations and impoverishes the public stack of harmless amusement. I have been having a most wonderful visit to England I decided rather on the spur of The moment to make the Trip after our world convention at Leister I have been having a lovely visit to a number of charming places down Somerset Devon Dorset Will - Et al. gaining a lot of strength and new ideas - for full. Remember me to Mrs Carter and children Webb Walker and other good friends Most Sincerely EM Waits
