- My Dear Mr. Carter: - What a very thoughtful friend you are to send me that splendid (?) picture of Will. I had never seen one and to say that I (?) this is expressing it very mildly, indeed - I thank you sincerely - It shall have a very prominent place in the book I am making after the holidays. I realize how very busy your life is but, if at some time, as you fly back east - you just call me to meet you at the air-port you (?) know how happy I'd be to entertain one of my loved brothers very dearest friends. - Gratefully - Sallie C.
