Description
My dear Amon: You were most thoughtfull and kind to mail a copy of the annual of the "Amon Carter high school" I'm very proud of this, it is a beautiful book and I'm filing it away with the anuual of the Tulsa Will Rogers high school. Right after you called me from New York I mailed photographs of Soapsuds bridle to Electra. It is a (?) bridle, but personally I do not think that matters, as Will used many different kinds of bridles - Electra can get all the details from the photograph, as we took particular pains to show the buckle and all detail. What a farm - and what a farmer. I never ate such baked potatos, and the pecans get bigger each year, and of course the smoked turkey is a delicacy that you just don't get in anything else. With black outs and air raid alarms and no lighted trees your delicious Christmas brought much cheer to an otherwise doleful household, and behind our darkened windows we all sang praise to you. Thank you again for all the good things. Sincerely Betty.
