Description
My dear Mr. Carter: Many, many thanks for your lovely invitation to luncheon at Shady oak Farm and later to the unveiling of the Will Rogers monument on November fourth. Russell and I shall be so delighted to be present and we do appreciate your including us. It will be so nice to see you again and meet your bride whose picture we saw in the paper. She is very beautiful and we know you both must be very happy. Russell telephoned you to ask you and Mrs. Carter to be our guests at the Rose Festival two weeks ago, but you were out of the city. We were so very disappointed for we were looking forward to seeing you again and, to have the pleasure of seeing Mrs. Carter. Russell has been in Houston for a week on business but returns home next Tuesday. I have sent you both a small wedding gift with our sincerest congratulations and best wishes, and trust yall don't have too many replicas. Again our thanks for your thought of us and with eager and anticipation of seeing you on November fourth, I remain, Yours most cordially, Lucile Clark Hartle Friday Octobor Twenty-fourth
