- Sept 26 40 My dear Mrs Carter: - You and Mr Carter were so very charming to me during our stay in Fort Worth and I want you to know what a really wonderful time we had - and most of all how I loved meeting you. Perhaps you will be in California soon and if so I'd love to see you again. Have had a week of supposed rest with Sam out of town but I've been doing all sorts of foolish chores I must get attended to when he is here.
