Description
Bowie, Tex. 12.23.1923 Mr. A.G. Carter. Fort Worth, Tex. Dear Amon received your very kind and most highly appreciated letter a few days ago certainly was very much surprised to get such a long and big hearted letter from my good little boy of so long ago and the hapnings you mentioned had not entered my mind for many a day but as I read them every thing came back to me as plain as when they happened and harry and I both had a hearty laugh over them. Amon you wont know until you get old how it cheers up old people to be remembered by those they have known and loved in younger days. I certainly will keep your letter as long as I live and as to the present no one could appreciate it more but my dear bot (as you will always be to me) dont be to extravagant in your great kindess rememer you are only in the Prime of life while I will soon pass a way from this world of pleasures, grief happiness & sorrows as most of us have to meet but hopeing your trials may be few. Pleasures many I will ever remain as of old your kind and loving friend Mrs. M. E. Bedford
