- Description
- Jan-22-1925 Dear Amon: I certainly regret my inability to attend the banquet to be given in your honor tonight by the appreciative citizens of Fort Worth who value the many wonderful results you have accomplished for our city. Even tho I can not be present in person tonight, I want you to know that I am thinking of you, and that I am among those who feel deeply grateful for the untiring efforts you have expended in making Fort Worth a real city. It is needless for me to say that I am appreciative of the many personal favors you have extended me, and my friends. In fact, I have never asked for your help in a single instance, and it has been refused. Therefore from a civic, as well as a personal feeling, I say "Thank you, and may your reward ever be in the hearts of your friends and fellow-citizens"- George Thompson Jr.
