- Reg Robbins, aviator and pilot of the "Fort Worth" and endurance flier, before the microphone of WBAP when he pressed the button illuminating the powerful beacon on Mount Franklin near El Paso. The beacon, installed by the Pasotex Petroleum Company to serve fliers, is one of the six largest in the world. This photo was taken after Robbins completed a world record for longest continuous flight ("Endurance Hop") along with co-pilot James Kelly in Fort Worth, Texas.
