American Airlines' President A. N. Kemp shakes hands with Amon Carter, Sr. as Kemp exits the American Airlines airplane named "The Flagship." A large group of other men stand around the plane on the tarmac. Trail-blazers on American Airlines' new international service between the United States and Mexico were greeted on their arrival in Fort Worth by civic and business leaders. Among the attendees were Chandler Hovey of Boston, Harllee Branch of Washington, Edgar M. Queeny of St. Louis, Silliman Evans of Nashville and Chicago, Mayor J. Woodall Rodgers of Dallas, Harold P. Ames of Chicago, Harry E. Benedict of New York City, Mayor Maurice Tobin of Boston, President A. N. Kemp of American Airlines, Mayor I. N. McCrary of Fort Worth, Fred F. Florence of Dallas, Lang Wharton of Dallas, Raymond F. Buck, and Amon Carter, Sr. This photograph was taken in front of the main terminal building at Fort Worth Meacham Airport.
